Jonathan Faber

Jonathan Faber is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Luminary Group LLC.  Jonathan is a visible leader in the licensing industry and a recognized expert in the field of licensing and the Right of Publicity.  Jonathan has worked on behalf of all types of intellectual property owners and has collaborated with countless entities operating within the licensing sector such as manufacturers, advertising agencies, music publishers, and media companies.  He has served as an expert witness in litigation throughout the United States involving parties such as Uma Thurman and Lancome, the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, Checkers/Rallys, Fruit of the Loom, animated character Madeline, Grammy-Award winning group Digable Planets and Target, Nikki Sixx and Vans.

Jonathan also is an attorney with McNeely Stephenson Thopy & Harrold.  Prior to Luminary Group and McNeely Stephenson, Jonathan was a partner at Sommer Barnard (now Taft), and he served for almost ten years with CMG Worldwide, where he was President of CMG.  Before CMG Worldwide, Jonathan worked for a joint venture between Atlantic Records and Time Warner, where he participated in projects involving the Looney Tunes characters and the Power Rangers.

Jonathan is the professor and creator of The Right of Publicity at Indiana University School of Law–Indianapolis.  He also teaches Licensing Intellectual Property at the Maurer School of Law—IU Bloomington.  He is a frequent guest speaker at events, programs and legal symposiums throughout the country, as well as providing interviews and commentary for various media outlets and programming such as ESPN and the BBC.   Jonathan recently was a key speaker at the American Intellectual Property Law Association’s (AIPLA) annual symposium in La Quinta, California, and he also delivered a feature presentation to the Philadelphia Bar Association.  He also is a frequent contributor to business and licensing publications, such as License! Magazine. He has recently been quoted or profiled in Billboard Magazine, AdWeek, and the ABA’s national magazine, the ABA Journal.

Jonathan is the creator and administrator of www.RightOfPublicity.com, the leading online resource for the Right of Publicity.  Jonathan was a co-author of the amicus brief filed by the Screen Actor’s Guild in Keller v. NCAA.  Jonathan also has been a contributor to various state legislatures considering Right of Publicity legislation.

Pete Enfield

Pete Enfield is Partner and President of Luminary Group LLC, a leading intellectual property management company.  Pete is a seasoned and well-rounded executive, possessing more than 17 years of experience in the area of intellectual propety licensing.  Pete has worked with and represented some of the greatest sports, entertainment, music, historical and corporate personalities and trademarks for domestic and international merchandising, advertising and promotional programs.   Such noted properties include Babe Ruth, Vince Lombardi, Johnny Unitas, Cy Young, Satchel Paige, Jesse Owens, and Sam Snead, just to name a few.

Pete’s aggressive and focused approach has resulted in establishing and finalizing thousands of merchandise and advertising deals for his clients over the years. These deals have connected his clients with corporate giants such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Major League Baseball, the National Football League, Mercedes Benz, Coors Light,  Chevrolet, Visa, Absolut Vodka, Citibank, DHL, Topps, Nike and adidas.  Prior to joining Luminary Group, Pete served as Senior Vice President of CMG for nearly 14 years.

Pete graduated from Indiana University-Bloomington in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Sports Marketing. He received his Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton in 1995.
